Jesse
Patterson Tool Room Manager
Email
I was born May 25, 1956 in Spearfish, South Dakota and was raised to
the age of thirteen in a small farming town on the prairie just off
the Black Hills. In 1969, my parents moved our family to Flippin, Arkansas
to start a small family business. I graduated from Flippin High School
in 1974 and in 1977 graduated from the advanced machine shop class,
at Twin Lakes Vocational School in Harrison, Arkansas. After vocational
school, I applied and was hired, May 25, 1977 as an apprentice toolmaker
at J. V. Tool and Die, which in later years would turn into Volt Industrial
Plastics. Through the years of learning and training, I have advanced
from apprentice, to toolmaker, to the position I hold now as Tool
Room Manager. I consider myself to be very blessed in two ways. One,
to have picked a career that has been extremely interesting and challenging,
and two, to have started with a young company that I could grow and
participate with. The growth and changes that I have seen in the plastics
industry and in our company here at V.I.P. in the last few years alone
have been very exciting and keeps us keyed up for the opportunities
that the future might bring.
